A.F. Kalil, M.D. practices exclusively in Non-surgical, Restorative and Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Kalil is a prolific innovator, continually blazing trails in this ever-evolving new field of aesthetic medicine.
He has been a key figure in medical aesthetic training organizations, recently founding the American Academy of Restorative and Aesthetic Medicine (AARAM), which focuses on teaching other physicians and perfecting the process of “True Repair” to the skin. Dr. Kalil is a proponent of the “Dentalization” of skin care, periodic office visits with simple maintenance between visits. He has implemented dentalization into his practice and the practice of many other physicians with whom he has shared this concept. Dentalization has produced 100% patient satisfaction for very happy patients. These loyal patients follow his simple approach and maintenance program, treating their skin now the same way health-conscious people have always cared for their teeth. The Vi Peel™ produces dramatically positive results with amazingly minimal discomfort and downtime. The process of aging skin has at last been tackled and halted. The development of the Vi Peel was prompted by Dr. Kalil’s challenge to conquer his teenage daughter’s acne, which also managed to address the issues women face today as they mature. The Vi Derm™ Skin Care System is a physician prescribed regime to help maintain beautiful results for patients in between periodic office visits for a Vi Peel. In December 2000, Dr. Kalil established the Vitality Institute in South Beach and has passionately devoted himself to Restorative and Aesthetic Medicine and “True Repair” and rejuvenation of the skin. He stays on top of this new field of medicine by continuously developing cutting edge, out-of-the-box techniques and procedures that enhance his patients’ lives and keep them coming back. His accomplishments are the result of continuous experimentation and his evolved philosophy and courage to take things a step further. Dr. Kalil’s education, honors and experience are distinctive and have formed a rock solid foundation for what has become a visionary practice in an exciting and rewarding new field of medicine. Dr. Kalil graduated from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium with the highest distinction. His internships, residencies and research work was done at Cornell University in New York, Bellevue Hospital in New York, Oxford Eye Unit and Kingston Eye Unit in England, Saginaw General Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan and Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Dr. Kalil was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1994; he eventually worked as an emergency room physician for five years in South Florida.
